track bar mount repair

hey all,

my track bar mount on the frame end has cracked. the crack is about an inch long and it is just under the frame rail where most of the leverage is. how can i repair this where it will be tough until i can get the RE bracket?

Pull it and weld it up.
The stock frame mount is really two pieces sandwiched. The part that wraps/rests against the frame rail and the curved part that receives the TRE. It's all 1/4 an 3/16ths and will weld together fine till you replace it.
I used the stock mount for my relocated track bar, cut off the curved part and welded in a 2x2x1/4 piece, 2 inches toward the rear. Allowed me to run a heim and push the track bar over the axle.

After you pull it and weld it as advised above, run the trackbar brace as well.

Whoever welds it, have them drill a small hole at the very end of the crack and weld well past it. Otherwise it can spring right back sometimes.
