What will i need to swap the D35 for a D44? does the stock XJ d44 use a 1310 Yoke? will my d35 rear driveshaft work?

second..

Am i able to swap the disc brakes off a d44a to a XJ D44?

All Jeep XJ axles are 1310 yokes.

The D44a disc brakes are just common ZJ disc brakes, so you would need to follow the same procedure for the ZJ swap.

What year XJ do you have? If you have a late model, you will need to use the cables off your Jeep, not the old ones.

The nose of a D44 is about 1" longer than a D35. In most situations the shaft will work fine but check how far the driveshaft sticks in the tcase and make sure it isn't binding.

well that should be a good thing then? because the slipyoke is out about 2" with the d35.
