Towing NEED ADVISE

I am towing a car that weighs 2800lbs with a 95xj 4.0l aw4, but the xj has a trans cooler and 3.73 gears on 29in bfgs. I am towing this car 800 miles to my new duty station. Would this be ok knowing that the jeep is already set up for towing. Would this be ok. Keep in mind the dlly is only 500lbs and has no asissed brakes.

I think you might have posted this in this area by accident?

Anyway, with regard to the towing. I don't see any issues with it. However, I would do a very good inspection of the Jeep's brakes before you leave and be good to them (use gears when possible, stay off the hills, stay off the brakes, let them cool as much as possible, etc).

And don't put it in overdrive. Drive in 3rd. Lastly, ensure there's air passing through your tranny cooler fins. If it's clogged it's useless.
