Custom shafts?

Anyone know who can make me a custom shaft? I ordered a shaft from Dutchman and just found out it came with a bent ear. I'm guessing they can make me a new one but when I ordered mine they were down to the last couple blanks they had and were not expecting to have new ones for at least a month.

I'd wait another 48 hours and see what they say.

Is your "Dutchman" shaft a Yukon blank or a Superior blank?

If I had to guess I would say Yukon, its 1541 not 4340, Dutchman was over a month out on anything 4340.

Just called, they checked the rest of the(Yukon) blanks they had, sounds like they got a bad batch of blanks.

Beat the ear out with a hammer, and then install the joint?

Thats what I usually do when I cant get the U-joint in... :shocked:


As for custom length shafts, I'd try any number of vendors -
66CJDean on Pirate4x4 owns Performance Cryogenics - and can make custom length shafts as cheap, or as expensive (and strong) as you're looking to have...

Branik machine, Jack at CTM, and I'm fairly sure Spidertrax also can make custom length shafts...
