Drag Link Question

My drag link has a lot of play and makes a loud clank at the passenger side when you move it by hand. My question is do I have to replace it or does it just need to be greased?

I got another question. I have read that you can use the drag link from a ZJ. What year would be compatable with my XJ(1999) and could I use one from a V8 ZJ?

drag links are the same. just get one for the XJ.

The drag link from a v8 grand is the same as what came with yours. But the tie rod isnt. I've swapped both drag link and tie rods to the v8 grand setup. ALOT thicker. If your going to be changing your drag link, Might as well do the swap now. You'll thank yourself.
