Help dana 35 or chrysler 8.25

Sorry to ask such a stupid question. But I think I am right. I think I have a chrysler 8.25 but the local shop around here says it is a dana 35 and I did get a filler plug for a dana 35 from them and it did work in the diff cover. But to me it looks like a 8.25. Will you guys please help me out with this. i am about to order gears and want to be 100% sure before I do.

That is a 29-spline 8.25.
 
Johnny is correct, the flat lip on the bottom of the differential gives it away. It's definitely an 8.25, and since it is a 2001 model it will be 29-spline.

sounds like you need to find a new shop.....

good axle keep it! 8.25 all the way!
