spring over axle

ok i have serached around a bit and couldnt find anything so i turn to ya'll for input. i am thinkin of mounting the springs over the axle instead of under in order to gain a few inches.what do you think. i figure that would be an easy 3 inches and ill throw some f150 coils up front to make up the difference. .....yes no maybe. let me know
 
I sure hope so, if not he better go look at the back of his Jeep and see where the axle already is in relation to the springs :D
