I have read a couple of sources which claimed 94. However, my 94 has R12. Hopefully someone will know for sure. It almost sounds as if there may have been a midyear 94 switch to 134a, but I don't know that for sure.
IIRC, R12 has a screw on type connection like a tire valve & R134 had a quick disconnect like an air compressor. For what it's worth, you can buy adaptors to go from R12 connections to R134.
But even with the adapters, you are supposed to replace the O rings, vac the system, replace the orphus tube and a bunch other stuff to do a retro fit properly.
