Black bag in cubby

Hi all, just another quick noob question...I was taking off the interior trim over the weekend and when I pulled the trim piece off of the passengers side (the little cubby hole piece) there was a rectangular black plastic bag stuffed down in there. Any idea as to what this is? to remove moisture, sound deadening? I thought I had come across a post about this before but don't recall and didn't know what to use for search terms to describe it.
I thought maybe there was a stash in the Jeep!!!

Remove it, if it gets wet, it will hold water and cause rust.

dagr8...I was thinking the same thing. Doesn't look like it does much as far as sound deadening goes anyway. Trust me...it is bone dry whatever it is. Maybe I can sell it anyway LoL
