I was out running John Bull day before yesterday when I noticed some axle fluid leaking out of my front axle from the passenger side brakes. It ended up spraying fluid all over the inside of the tire. By the time I got to the end of the trail I had lost a lot of fluid. I figured it would be an easy fix. I was wrong. The new seal is only $11 so I went ahead and ordered both but the install was WAY more difficult than I had expected. I didn't realize that the only way to get to the seals is through the diff. I also didin't realize the specialty tools I needed. 4 wheel west wants $415 to replace the front axle seals. I am broke and they are out of their mind for quoting me that cost. Does anyone out there have the experience, skills, and tools to do this job? I don't have mass amounts of cash but I can provide as much food and beer as you can handle and I am willing to drive to you if your not a fan of driving up into the San Berdu mtns. to my place. I researched it online and it appears to be a 2-3 hour job with someone who knows what they are doing. The axle is a Dana44 out of an 06 TJ Rubicon.
