Went up to reiter this weekend with a few buddies...

Every mud pit is deeper than it seems...

Well here's the carnage...
I got hung up on a log, gave it some gas and there must have been a little nub on it that shredded the sidewall of my BFG muddy. Threw the spare on and was done wheelin for the day :tears:. This is the Jeep sittin in my driveway now. You can also see the side marker is destroyed.

Trails get awful tight at reiter, even for a Jeep. This was actually bent over my door so I had to hammer it back up in order to open and close the door.

Previous owner welded this bumper up... I suppose he didn't plan on gettin yanked out of a mud pit by the corner cause this one just went flyin. Nobody was hurt

You can see here the other side marker got smashed up too. I just replaced it a few months ago

Oh well, as long as I can drive home from reiter I'd call it a successful trip.

One other thing, I took my shredded tire to discount to see if they'd replace it with another. I found out there are no more BFG KM1's anywhere so I had to get two KM2's (only paid for one). I'm going to have my extra km1 mounted on my spare rim so I can have a nice full size spare. My current one is a 32, I'm runnin 33's. I was wondering if I should put the KM2's in front or in the rear? What do you guys think?

I put my 2 Km2's in the rear. Shame they wern't out when I bought the km1's nice tires. :)

That's silly. I know for Costco when my sister had some weird wear/warrenty deal on a tire for her Jeep and that tire turned out to be no longer made, costco replaced all four with a new tire of similar style (slightly bigger because it was all they had). That seems like the "ideal" way to take care of things, but I guess 2 free tires is better then none.

Looks like you had fun at Reiter though, I got in a mud hole that looked just like that at Reiter too, I almost got out but we had to winch the last part.

yeah, i miss my kms. i got km2s this summer, about 3 months ago. its weird, but i am definitely noticing more wear on my front two. maybe because i spend a lot of time on the street? its been hot, and the tires experience more lateral friction from turning?

maybe ill post up some pics

You should be rotating your tires. I do mine with at 3,000 miles along with an oil change. Fronts to rear on the same side, rears to opposite side on the fronts.

yes, i know about tire rotation schedules.

; )

the km2s are noticeably wearing more than my last bfg kms with the same driving habits, jeep set up, and milage/usage.
