my good friend told me that the jeep dealer that he works for just got in a mopar 2 inch lift for our rigs.does anyone know anything about them are they good quality?

He may be talking about this kit?????

Mopar 2-inch lift kit is now available for 2007 to 2009 model year two-door and four-door model Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Most moderate Jeep Wrangler lifts use coil spring spacers with the factory coil springs. However Mopar's replacement coil spring lift allows as much suspension articulation as most 4-inch lift kits, resulting in increased performance with minimal impact on vehicle center-of-gravity. Also new, Mopar's 2-inch lift kit is covered by a Mopar Performance first Limited Lifetime Warranty. Both the 2-inch and 4-inch lift kits by Mopar are currently available for purchase.

i know some dealerships sell rubicon express lifts and call them "mopar" lift kits and sell them at an exploded price.

perhaps this could be the case

I called two of the local Jeep stealerships, and they both said that they also can offer the Mopar 2.5" lift for the XJ, and one of them says there is one locally.... so I am on the hunt now!!! I am waiting for them to get back to me with the price though....

Yeah, I believe they just started mass producing a Mopar lift for our XJ's.

Also, word on the street is that Jeep is making a 4.7 stroker with a swap kit for us too.
I shit you not on that. They showed it off at the same time the "Lower Forty" concept Wrangler came out. The 4.7 should debut sometime this month or the next.

well i am really excited about this. hopefully its not too much over priced emphasis on TOO MUCH.LoL if within my price range i will slap it on my street xj and throw a set of 31x10.5x15 bfg a/t on her and call it good!

I heard that the stroker motor is a roller cam version. I'd really lik eto know $$ on that.

I can understand where your coming from, but in my opinion i feel that we should explore all options that are given to us. Yes their are tons of lift options, and i have ran many of them, but i would never be opposed to trying something new. NEVER!!! LOL

Can't find much on the Mopar XJ 2.5" Lift Kit. It's probably a 2.5" BB using 2.5" Coil Spring Spacers and 2.5" Lift Blocks and costing a few Hundred Dollars for it and it's Install. LOL I certainly don't think it would be though. It's probably 2.5" Lift Coil Springs and 2.5" Lift Add-A-Leafs. Just taking a guess at it. Who knows?

Mopar plans to launch the ATK 4.7-liter Stroker Motor for Jeep Applications starting in September 2009. It is the same motor that won the 4X4 SUV category at the 2008 Score International Baja 1000 in Essenada, Mexico according to these Articles:
