Ok so I go to replace my old non ABS equipped Dana 30 axle shaft with one from an ABS equipped xj for the larger u-joint.
The shaft on the non abs has 5/8" bigger diameter than the abs shaft. The abs shaft does have the larger u joint.
The non abs shaft seems to be pressed into the ear portion of the shaft.
I have searched and found nothing on this subject.
So the question is now do I keep the old shaft because of the larger diameter or do I go for the larger u joint?
I am on 35's and locked up front if that helps.
