I keep looking at the question, and it seems to me he wants to use short arms all the way around :dunno:

What size lift are we talking?

Generally speaking, short arms (insert favorite vendor's name here) work fine in the front under 5". Be sure to order by lift size, and if over 3", I recomend uppers also.

The rear is another puppy entirely. You would be converting from leafs to coil, and will have to work out a 4 link, or 3 link with upper wishbone arangement. It will also require some form of panhard bar to locate the rear axle side to side.

Either. Adjustable gives you more adjustability for caster issues, but if you order the uppers for the lift you are installing, it should work out OK. The stock uppers have an annoying habit of folding if you put them under too much strain on tall lifts.

oh... my buddy is giving me a set of LCA's from his old lift that should give me more flex than my stock arms, but i dont plan to go anymore than 3" up front maybe 3.5-4" rear so i dont think i'll need uppers then...

i feel like rear coils are kind of unneeded unless you plan on doing some serious offroad where you need massive flex... its like buying a corvette just to drive it to get grocerys...

Yeah it seems overkill to do that. If you want coils in the rear, ZJs don't cost too much money.
I was actually thinking about getting a Rusty's short arm kit and then adding some LCA drop brackets to it. A lot cheaper than a long arm kit. Then again it would be even cheaper for me to just upgrade the kit I have now.

clayton also makes a rear coil conversion.

just go all out and throw a set of coilovers and 4link that bish!

I haven't really had any problems with the few Rusty's things I've encountered. I've called them a few times and they are very quick and helpful. I haven't bought a kit from them though.

why would you want to only do short arms if youre going through all the trouble to convert to rear coils? at least fork out the cash or the credit card and do the long arms...

Here are some Threads that may help you in your decision.
Personally, unless you need extreme flex, leaf springs have enough flex in them for almost anything you may wish to do offroading IMHO.
