Any ideas on my jeep dieing?

I have a 94 with the 4.0 and for about a year now I can be Going down the road and the motor will shutdown and the tach will go to 0. It allways fires back off on its own. It is getting worse. any ideas??

This all started shortly after I swamped it.

Check / renew battery connections and grounds. Next suspect is CranK Position sensor. (CKP / AKA CPS)

x2 on the cps. Alot of times if you unplug it and plug it back in a few times it helps it contact itself better. Or clean the terminals abit and put back together and let us know what happens.

OK. Update, I pulled the dis. cap off and found that it was in very bad shape. So I changed it allong with the roter. I also found thet the cam position sensor (or stater) was in very bad shape. I changed that and test drove it and it seems ok for now. Time will tell.
