new flowmaster catback need help!!

so im installing the rustys offroad flowmaster 40 catback on my 96 xj.. i need to know how long the extension tube that goes inbetween the cat and the muffler is. i tightened down the exhaust clamp before i made sure everything fit right but the tailpipe doesnt. and since i tightened it up i cant get it off to make sure it slid all the way on.. where the tailpipe bends up istn far enough back so i cant get it on.:hang:

Maybe you could get an Idea of the Length from it. I remember when I did my Cat-Back Flowmaster 50 2.5".... it was about a Foot Long on my '96 XJ.
