Banged up exhaust, cat up against floorpan

I went to Rausch Creek today and on a ledge I banged my cat pretty good a few times. Thought nothing of it until I got home and checked over the vehicle for damages. Upon inspecting the cat and exhaust I have now pushed my cat into my floorpan, up against the floorpan on the underside. It is in full contact and heating up the floor (no melted carpet yet:doh:). The exhaust hanger that mounts on the crossmember and tranny mount is bent up and that is holding the exhaust in place.

How bad is it to have the cat on the floorpan for a very minimal time until I can fix it. Is it possible for a cat to cause a fire within the vehicle? And how would you go about fixing this. I am thinking just getting a used exhaust off a parts jeep and throwing in a Thrush muffler I have laying around.

Thanks, MG
