Looking thru my 88 XJ Renix owners manual I came across ther emission timer that I had long ago disconnected. The timer was to tell the owner to replace the O2 sensor at 82,500 miles.

Anyone replacing the O2 sensor at the "recommended" time?

Hallo. The advice in Haynes is also 82,500 miles or 82 months whichever comes first.
I renew it every 2 years because it will save fuel. :laugh3:

How many miles in 2 years on yours? Do you really see a fuel difference in just 2 years?

Haha. Yes I only drive in 2 years maybe 20K miles.
But, the reason is that I get a package of maintenance parts each 2 years
Fluids,filters,sparkplugs,belt and...... an o2 sensor.
For the fuel consumption, you can better turn out the a/c and keep the engine on 210F. LOL:rof:

In Europe a liter of fuel costs more than a gallon does here.
