What idiot designed the ECU mount in the Renix XJs?
Spent a hour "trying' to "properly" reinstall the replacement ECU in my '88 upside down, twisting and turning my body in +100* Texas heat.
To "properly" install the darn thing the connectors end up jammed against the transmission tunnel. What a bunch of dopes that enginneered that install.
I ended up securing the ECU, "properly", by my standards with only one bolt and in such away that the connectors face downward without being jammed into anything.
Someone should fab a plate that mounts onto the OEM plate and then secures the ECU onto it so that 3 bolts can hold it secure and let the connectors clear everything.
