I had to replace my Aussie because I messed it up when I broke my carrier so I found a detroit on craigslist. I just put it in today and it rocks! I am so stoked, now I need to do some wheeling.

Sweet John I would be interested to hear how it behaves for you, do you notice it in 2wd, how is the steering in 4wd. let us know after you give a try.

The steering in 4WD is the same as it was with the aussie, that is to say it sucks but that's O.K. In 2wd it goes unnoticed, much quieter then the Aussie.

What do you have for a front end? D30? If so, is it a 1 piece axle? Or a 2 piece disco.

D30, HP non disco (one piece passenger axleshaft).
