Doing a facelift on XJ

I now i'm going to get search uphill but have been searching and only get MJ builds.
Does anyone have threads on the topic please?
Is it possible to use the <96 fenders with the facelift nose?
If not, is it difficult to modify the pre facelift fenders?

I had an accident with my XJ this weekend and spares are very very limited here in South Africa and am battling to find spares and thought while buying might as well do a facelift if not to difficult to modify. I intend cutting the fenders below the grill to accommodate the bumper i am busy building anyway.

Help will be highly appreciated please.

im doing the same swap now except im using the 97+ fenders....


ya CAN use the pre 97 fenders but you will have to smooth out the "edge" the fender has on the pre 97's so it will blend nicely with the 97+ header panel etc....

ya can do this using bondo/body work.... there a few write ups around ill post some later when i get on my other computer that has them bookmarked....
