I have an 89 XJ and my accessory circuit is shorted out. One day I blew the radio fuse out of nowhere, replaced it, and it blew again.
Since then, my radio would only work with the headlights ON, even with a burnt out radio fuse which seems strange to me. My cigarette lighter lights up, but the lighter itself doesn't work either. Nothing plugged into ACC works, so now my CB and radio are wired into Battery power, which makes it a pain because I have to turn them off seperately from the ignition.
Now I'm thinking that it's the Headlight switch that's screwing everything up. They work fine, but the ACC only gets power when they're on. Is the switch shorting out somewhere? Thanks in advance.
