Multifuntion wand malfuntion

Ok so every time I signal to make a turn the wipers go into the mist setting (two wipes then park) sometimes they will even spray.

At first i thought I might have been careless, but after pressing on the part of the stalk not controlling the wipers the same thing happens.

So Could the spring inside the wand be dead, causing the switch to be jarred enough to trip the wipers?

Or is the Multifuntion switch going bad down inside the column?

96 cherokee btw

Either way, it sounds like you need to replace the MFS.

If yours is like my '94, there is no spring in the wand, it's all in the column.
