on a 90 xj will the passengers axle slide right out like the drivers side?
or do i have to remove the 4wd disconnect thingy.

No it will not slide out the other side, differential is in the way. Yes you will have to remove the disconnect. Good time to add a cable actuator to the disconnect.

thanks. i just needed to know if you need to remove the disconnect to get the axle shaft out. going to replace the u-joint.

If you're pulling the outer shaft, it should slide out without removal of anything in the C.A.D. unit. On some models, the inner shaft will have a c-clip keeping it in the differential according to some reports, but I've not found one yet.

thats what i thought. i just finished it and it did infact slide right out.
