Is the rear hatch on a 1987 XJ made of fiberglass? I read that somewhere on this website and I cannot beleive it. So is it steel or fiberglass?

I believe it is made of fiberglass. I know my '92 is.

Yes the hatches are fiberglass. The didn't go to steel hatches until 97.

That means that I should use the back of a MJ instead of my fiberglass hatch for making the XJ into a SUT
