I have a 93 Cherokee with a 95 aw4 and tcase and when I did the tranny somehow a part of the speed sensor got caught and now won't reach the plug in I was wondering if it would be stupid to cut the wires and just add more wire in between it or would this be bad

Good soldering and protection from the elements--why not.

got caught where? is the insulation where it got caught damaged causing a short? i would inspect where i got caught for damage. if damaged and you cant get it uncaught, i would cut it before and after where it got caught.

just use the correct size wire and solder or crimp fittings with heat shrink wrap
