I recently put a new tranny in (ax15). Now my Jeep sometimes won't start. Sometimes it starts right up, sometimes it just cranks and cranks. Sometimes it cranks with a sputter. I'm at a loss here. Any ideas?
CPS. Sounds like you either didnt get it tightened all the way and its moving around or its starting to die.
Supposedly you can elongate the holes and move it closer to the flywheel to in crease the signal but i have never done it.
I should note that the passenger side CPS bolt hole was stripped so I tapped new threads in and used a bolt that was the same size diameter of the shoulder of the old bolt.
If all you changed was the transmission and you are sure the cps is good then start checking plug ins and connections to see if you didnt knock one loose.
