Introduce yourself

My name is Zach
Live in Northern MD, in Jarrettsville.
Rig is a 1996 XJ 4.0/AX15/231 d30/8.8 4.10s spartans in both 4.5" RC long arm sitting on 35/12.50 MTRs. Bumper, winch, the basic stuff. Will be swapping in 5.38 d44's here shortly with detroits and chromos. Thanks!

I guess I should do a proper introduction. I'm Erik. I'm from the Hudson Valley in New York. Ive been out of the Jeep game for a few years now but all that time I've been wanting to get back in. I just picked up a 1996 2 door XJ about a week ago and I've experienced a FULL relapse into Jeep obsession. Since I got my drivers license way back in 95 I've always had at least one jeep on the Insurance, at times as many as 4. Ive had all kinds, as old as a 52 M38 and the newest one I ever had was an 06 LJ. But in the middle theres been 9 or 10 XJ's and 1 MJ (Wish I never parted with that thing!) and 2 CJ's

Heres my newest ride.

I'm so exited to be back behind the wheel of a Jeep again. I didn't really realize how much I missed it until this thing came on the trailer.

Heres a few pics of Jeeps past...

The mighty LJRockstar..

My 85 CJ with AMC 360.

The First CJ back in the day!

Ive pics of all of them somewhere but they're not on this computer.

Anyway, Happy to be back! And after a little tweaking and tuning, I look forward to getting out on some trails this summer!

I saw the LJ Rockstar and wondered.. good to see ya around Erik.

I guess you no longer have a shop in Philly?

John B..

Yea its me! Thanks, nice to be back in it. Philly shop is still in business, but I'm not involved anymore. I'm upstate now. Been working as a machinist for a little while now. I'm digging it for sure. I've got some work to do on the XJ, but I hope to get an easy trail ride in by the end of may. I don't wanna thrash this one like I did the LJ. I do however want to do some serious road tripping in it. Been stationary for too long. haha

Howdy, new here, still trying to figure out how to navigate the site. I have a 2000 XJ sport. Work in progress, going for a 4" lift. Needing to keep it easily streeable. Looking for ideas in the DIY range, trying to avoid big $$$ aftermarket stuff whenever possible. Hope everybody has a great day, cheers Rango

Hello everyone, Son and I writing in from Lancaster Pa.

We own a 1999 XJ that we are currently building together. Started by replacing the motor a few months ago..see pictures.

Now we are slowly doing the rest, starting the the suspension. I recently purchased a 96 cherokee that had 4.5" suspension and a few other parts that are being donated to the 99 (Including a visor:eeks1:)

We are do it yourselfers, this has been a great father son experience...now looking forward to hitting the trails. Let me know if your in the area, we would like to meet with other Jeepers and have a beer! (Well...I can have a beer, my son has a soda!)

Images to follow once i have a host.

Wow! I love the father/son aspect of this, welcome! A couple of us will in fact be at the jeep show in York this coming weekend. I'll be there with my wife on Sunday, we aren't showing anything this year. Let us know if you are planning on going, and we'll make plans to meet up!

Hello everyone.

James here, some of us may have already met at nacfest over the last two years. I'm Stefans friend; first year I sat passenger and second year I had a TJ.

I have got to say meeting some great people that first year and obviously being friends with stefan it was an easy decision to get back into a Jeep.

So when Stefan said that NAXJA was opening up to other models of Jeeps I knew it was a group I wanted to be involved with.

So quick story on where I started where I am at and where I hope to end up.

1st Jeep (sold) was a 2000 TJ that I got in 2009 with a modest build to it. Kept it for 2 years then sold it for more friendly commuter.

2nd Jeep was and is a 2001 TJ purchased a couple months before nacfest 2017, cause well I got the bug back and had to have one again.

3rd Jeep is a 94 YJ that I just picked up last week, and the one I will have at Nacfest this year after some minor upgrades. But at least I'll have square headlights this go around hahaha..

Stefan, my dad and I hoped to have the TJ done, but with building a new frame and everything else I decided I HAD to have coupled with my work schedule only giving us Sundays to work that's not going to be done by june..

But it will make it out west in October, after a nice shakedown run with rich if our completion dates line up.

Well that was long winded but kind of sums it up for now..
here's some pictures in no particular order, cause well that's what most people enjoy..

Hehe loving it! To all, if you haven't met or spent enough time with James all I can say is to try to do so when you get the chance. He's a solid guy who enjoys th trails and is always out to have fun! Nice to see you on here, and yes hopefully our finish dates allow us both s good shake down run. I'm still going the best I can with mine, but as always there are things that pop up.
Still committed to the Moab run either way, thankfully I have another jeep to take !

Hey everyone,

I've been trying to figure out how to load pics up to here, but no dice, so I'll say hi without pictures.

I'm in Cheshire, CT, converted my DD since 2003 into a project. 1997 XJ Sport, 2 dr, 271,XXX miles 4.0 AX15 5" lift and 33's. I don't know the best associations around here to join for land use so if any of 'yall are members somewhere let me know because the pickings are slim in CT. I also have family who has land up in the White Mountains, NH so I plan on making trips this year. It would be great to get out there and hang with you guys summer! Cheers

Welcome. There are a few clubs up that way that have access to land. I can't remember at the moment though. Hopefully one of the members out your way will chime in.

New NAXJA member here, just getting started in the forum business long time Jeep owner.
I'm in western Virginia, building up my DD into a overland rig, 1999 XJ Sport, 4 dr, 98K miles, bone stock.
Spent the last year shaking all the bugs out of my rig before getting starter. Got a set of YJ wheels and 255/17 last week, have a RE 4.5" on the way, let the fun begin.

Hi. I'm Michael. I've got an 01 Limited with 104 on the odometer that is my DD and hopefully soon to be overland rig. Still shaking a lot of the bugs out.

Hoping to have it ready for some trail fun by late spring. There's not much going on in CT, so I'd love to get involved with meet ups and trail rides wherever.

I'm Rich, I live in CT and just got my first Jeep..... FOR FREE!. It's a 99 XJ, no idea how many miles. All I know is that it ran fine last year the ECM was taken for another xj. It's loaded with mold and my first project will be to gut the interior.
