Looking to pull the trigger on painting the XJ that flat desert tan color. Looking for pics, info and any tips on how to go about getting it done I may be overlooking. Jeep was in an accident when I bought it and has various color panels on it now up front, other wise it's mostly silver. Thanks

Already have an orbital palm sander and 180 grit disks are what I should be using??? from what I've been told and 12 cans of Rustoleum camo sand paint on order to start.

prep is key. i once rolled black Rustoleum onto a jeep. actually looked fairly good. i didn't thin the paint correctly and got a few air bubbles or sand the jeep before and it eventually started to peel.

+1 on rolling rusteleom on. I have made some danm good paint jobs with that stuff.
But it looses whatever sheen you give it in aprox 2-3years.
(you have to re-colorsand and buff every 2-3 years.)
but its amazing.
