installing one this week, what is the position of the shift lever arm on the tc when its in 2wd ? thx for the info.

Top position, IIRC. You can find out by spinning the front yoke, it'll only spin free in 2wd.

so the front will spin free & the rear yoke will not when in 2wd ?

Yes, IIRC my linkage went on the same as my NP231!
