dead battery?

Ok.. Mrs Crawlers jeep died last month.. i put in Avons battery that ended up lasting a day then it died.
Mrc Crawlers yellow top went into Avon, jumped started her..took her around the block and its not dead any more..
But.. mrs crawlers alternator wasn't charging.
I put a new alternator in yesterday..Took her for a drive, come back and battery is still dead.. Whats the chance that this battery is really dead?
should i swap the yellow top back in and get avon's battery checked by autozone?

How old is the battery? If it has some age on it, they don't usually take to being run flat like that and a lot of times won't charge back up at all. Take the battery to Advance or AZ and have them load test it.

See this happen a lot actually...

How much voltage ya got across the battery while it's running and while it's not running.

How low does it drop when you start it?

check the batt cables....

im going to replace them and see if it still drains
