Why are my tires “scrubbing” in low speed turns?

I know they do that when it’s in 4WD.

Could it be “stuck” in 4WD?

What are the Cherokee details: lift, tire brand/type, rim offset ?? Is the alignment correct. Are the u-joints fresh ? Since both of my Cherokees do it on occasion it is not something I worry about.

Everything is stock. Michelin Tires.

The u joints are not "fresh" but, I couldn't tell you how old they are.

I have a rumble/vibration at 75mph that lessens when I engage the 4WD as well.

If it worsens and feels like the whole car is shuddering at high speeds you may have a bad joint on the transfer case shaft. It needs replacing asap if that's the case
