This run will be with Lone Star Jeeps

Folks the 2008 LSJC Memorial Day New Guys Run will be held at Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer Tx on May 23rd-26th. This run is more for people who do not have much experiance wheeling, have never been out, have stock or near stock jeeps and just want to try out off roading
At the LSJC event

There will also be a bring your lunch and a crawfish boil/catfish/hot dog dinner and raffle Saturday night.

We are going to have lunch as a bring your own, eat on the trail or at the pavillion kind of thing, so there will be more time for sheeling. We are going to try and get everyone back to the pavillion by 1830 (6:30pm) to start the Johnny Bryant Crawfish Boil. There is a thread for that to sign up and buy tickets. We are also going to have a raffle. So for that if anyone wants to contribute prizes, they will be most welcome. We will have event t-shirts available online soon.

We have a couple cooks for the boil, we still need a grill to cook hotdogs for the kids and someone to cook them. Rink will be heading up the cleanup so she will need help with that. We will also need some people to help set up tables and get things ready.
This is going to be a BYOB event, bring what you want to drink. Please do not overdo until you get back to camp.

We will be meeting at at the pavillion @ 0830. Air down your tires, get disconnected, put your food in one of the pickups, and get in line behind your trial leader so we can hit the trails by 0915. Lunch will be starting @ 1230-1400 then back to the trails. There will be a campfire at the LSJC camp, burn ban permitting, so if you see some firewood during the day, you might grab it. Supper Saturday night will be leftovers or a trip to town and lots of tea and milk and cookies.

LSJC is a great group of guys. I have wheeled with them out at Gilmer and they even "shared" their camp site with us. Ok well We were camping there and they showed up the next day and after meeting us said it was "Ok" for us to be there.

Some of us from the www.dfw-tx4wd.org chapter will be there also. It will be cool to see other cherokees out there to get more idea's on the everlasting build. some of our members are also in the LSJC so we may ride with them. See ya there.

I finally have nothing preventing me from having some fun! School is out till June! yay! Battlewagon needs to get wheeled!
