Can anyone else smell gas at the vacuum line? Mine does but holds vacuum when vac pump applied.

its possible that it could be failing. or something else is leaking. like the O rings on the return line or an injector.

That is an early sign the diaphragm on the FPR is leaking. Replace the FPR before it causes starting and running problems (leak gets bigger). There is more force on the fuel pressure side of FPR than the vacuum side, but the sniff test of the Vac hose is the first clue if the leak is small.
