"Best" brake pads for a 1988 Jeep Cherokee?

I can't afford the mods and conversion (WJ master/booster upgrade or Vanco content).

I just want to upgrade the brakes from OEM to OEM+. I use the car for street here in S.F. but plan to take a road trip (no off-road) to see relatives in Texas. Need good pads when hot or cold.

I have new OEM brake hoses (4000 psi rating); will flush system and refill with Super Blue brake fluid (DOT 4); have a set of new Brembo flat rotors.

I need pads and there are no high performance pads (Hawk, EBC, etc., Napa SD's not available either but they have something called "Ultra Premium") for my year of 1988.

Here is a possible selection:

Here's the Napa one, part # UP UP7122AM: http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Detail.aspx?A=RBPUP7122AM_0252880634&An=599001+101988+50038+2038004

Can you recommend some? Part number and or web link would be great also.

Thanks all.

Addendum: I may trade my rotors back in for SP Performance Slotted; brake pads = Porterfield R4S. Heard lots of good things about these products.

Suggestions for wheel bearing unit "upgrades"?
