98 Power Door Locks always locking, replaced passenger switch, no luck

For some reason the power door locks are always trying to lock, and the only way to get them to stop trying to lock is to pull the fuse. I've been searching, reading guides, and everyone says to just replace the passenger side switch. $50 later, and they still won't stop locking. They still try to lock even when the drivers side switch is disconnected too, so it must not be a switch problem.

Anyone else have a similar problem? How did you fix it? Any suggestions on how to diagnose the problem?

Driver door and tailgate wire harness issues are very common. The power lock circuit is always hot, so you must have a short circuit. Visually inspect and test with a volts/ohms multi-meter the drivers door wire harness. Look for chafed wire insulation, damaged wires, and failed wire splices.
