When I am driving down a hill and I down shift in my 98 with AW4, if the RPMS get high enough I get a P0107 code saying the map sensor is failing. Goes away after a few key cycles.replaced the map with 2 others but it still happens.

Try these tests of the MAP sensor. Read the notes as well.

How high are the RPMs getting?

Have you checked the Vacuum hose to the MAP sensor, it may be going bad.

That jeep in the photos is way too clean.

I love the safety pins, wish I had seen that 12 years ago.

Got around to doing it.
Engine off Key on Orange wire gives me 5.11 volts
Engine off key on green/brown gives me 4.25 volts
Engine on orange gives me 5.1 volts
Engine on green/brown gives me 1.38 volts and jumps up when the throttle is bliped

Check your wiring harness. This is how the issues with my 99 started, took three different shops for anyone to take me seriously though

OK. I will take a look. Ithink ONLY happens if I am doing 65 kmph or more down a steep hill and put it in second to use the engine as a brake.
