I've had my '88 longbed, 4.0, 4x2, 5 speed, for about a month now. I've always heard a droning/humming coming from under the bed. (No, there's no body there) Had it on the highway a few times, and running around town, also.
It's not from the brakes, because the humming continues while sitting in the garage.
Just yesterday, I started to have problems with running over 15mph. Engine stutters and almost stalls out. I tried revving the engine while out of gear, but can't.
Recently, I put in some gas/injector cleaner, and reset the plug gap(from .60-.70 to .35), and that's all. Thanks for the help.
