Custom XJ finished (almost)

So I was asked the other day if I was a member here, I was not. So today I joined!

I recently finished building out my 97 XJ and thought I would share a few pics here for comment.

Upgrades / Modifications

* The Donor Jeep only had 64,000 Original Miles on it.
* The exterior has been painted bright white The accessories are all white powder coat, not paint.
* New Black Outlaw Katzkin Seats
* Custom rear headrests
* New massbacked Black carpet
* New factory headliner
* New TruckLite LED Headlamps
* New Rigid LED fog lights in the front bumper
* New JCR Vanguard Front winch Bumper
* New XRB Vanguard Rear tire carrier bumper.
* New WARN Zion 8k Winch
* New JCR Crusader Rock Sliders
* New JCR Intergraded Rear Lower Quarter Panel Armor
* New Notch Custom Fender Flares

* The entire motor has been gone through, Top to bottom. The donor motor only had 60k on it before the tear down

* Everything under this XJ is also brand new, or has been stripped down and made to be brand new again, such as the non-wear items like calipers and drive shafts

* All of the bolts and nuts in the lift and components are brand new. If it could be replaced with stainless steel it was on entire vehicle.

Which seats are these? I don't see an option for the XJ on their website.

Thought of a few more items:

* New custom fit AMP Research Powersteps
* New MEAN GREEN BATTERY HOLD DOWN
* New hood hinges and latch
* New driver and pass aluminum door latch reinforcement plates
* New rear sill cover
* New door latch spacers
* Door hinge shims and bolts
* New Magnetic oil drain plug
* New center high mount brake lens (try to find a new one)
* New gear shift handle
* Rebuilt power steering gear box and drop pitman arm for lift
* Steel knee bolster impact plate (under steering wheel)

If it could be Permatexed it has been (rust inhibitor)

In the top thread I referenced the addition of a

* New JCR Prerunner Roof Rack

It looked really cool and was powder coated however it rusted internally almost immediately. There were too many tube openings leaking rust so I removed it. I went with the retro 90s look of the Carr light bar instead.

Where did you get that bag in the back that is in the hole on the pass side?

Very nice and a lot of work.
I have wondered what my XJ would look like in white, it may happen yet.
Guess you intend on owning it for while, do keep the salt off it. XJs hate the stuff.
What are your plans for the axles and brakes? 35"s stress the stock brakes big time.

I don't know where the OP got his, but this would be my guess:

I think that seller was going to come up with a spare tire cover/tool bag as well. I think there is a thread about it somewhere around here.

A word of caution on the bag install, the velcro does not adhere. I found a product that I have used throughout my XJ renovation called Sugru. It is moldable rubber and is amazing stuff. I created a waterproof plug for my light bar along with being able to plug almost anything with it. I used it to install the bag as well.

No plans at the moment to alter the axles or the brakes. It doesn't get many miles put on it.
