Best TPS sensor brand for 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0?

I've been having bad luck with autozone duralast tps sensors. When I had the old original one, I noticed that my torque wouldn't lock-up in overdrive after driving a few blocks, especially when the engine reaches near max temp. When I replaced it with a duralast tps sensor, the problem was fixed and the torque converter would lock-up in overdrive constantly like it's suppose to. Now, it doing the same thing after three weeks and I replaced it with another new duralast TPS sensor. It actually runs smoother, but now the torque converter wouldn't lock-up at all in overdrive. So I'm going to have to return this one and get another one. If the same thing happens again, I'll ask for a refund. In that case what other TPS sensor can I buy that is actually a good durable brand? I know about OEM Mopar, but that's expensive. I've heard a few horror stories with Standard Motor Products and BWD. Basically, my decisions are Napa Echlin, Delphi and Crown TPS sensor.

I'll appreciate any advice.

The TPS went out on my XJ last winter. Drove me crazy for 3 months trying to figure out what was so wrong. Finally talked to a neighbor that is a transmission specialist. He said they use aftermarket on a lot of stuff but on the sensors like the TPS they only use OEM. Cost twice as much but it corrected all the problems that other guys were saying was the tranny.

On earlier years most aftermarket work fine like standard motor products, but for obdII mopar is the only way to go.

I have used BWD on my 91 with no problems.. Of course one did fall apart when i unplugged it. Replaced with another and good to go so far.

Cheap crappy "Lifetime Warranty" parts are often out of specification or even failed right out of the box. Many times they have a short service life before they fail.

Buy good quality replacement parts and genuine Jeep sensors.

Thanks for your help.^ I bought a mopar TPS at wermopar.com for 67 bucks. That includes 2nd day shipping which was $9.95. They basically ask for your payment and shipping info like any other site, but this one also asks for the vin number to speed-up the order process and also probably to make sure they give me the right part.
