Realized I never really have done a progress thread on my Jeep, so why not start now.

How I bought it..only thing I had done at this point was a better set of tires and Rusty's cat-back exhaust:

First lift...3" BB (spacers, shackles, and blocks...didn't know any better at the time  ). Also added window tint all the way around.

Wised up and went with a real lift (that I still have today). Been running a RE 3.5" Super Ride for 3 years now this month actually. Part of me kind of misses this EXACT set up. I love the look of a clean, lifted Jeep running bigger tires on stock wheels (31x10.50 BFG AT's).

Ran this exact set up for almost a year. Added the Surco rack and a JCR Stage 2 that I sorta turned into a Stage 3 by adding a slightly different hoop to. This picture is from this past September at Uwharrie. Thoroughly impressed with this RE lift....awesome amount of flex for a 3.5" kit and the ride is incredibly good.

How she sits right now. Went with soft 8's and 31x10.50" Treadwrights. This was taken exploring random roads outside of the Cullowhee area of Western NC with Cnickgo.

Exploring more areas in Western NC with Cnickgo. This time around the Boone/Blowing Rock/Grandfather Mountain area:

My XJ is/was my first vehicle. I took on loan payments to the bank when I was 16 and in High School thanks to my generous parents who were willing to put a loan in their name for me. Worked my tail off through high school and college and managed to pay off the 4 year loan about 6 months early and still build it up some. It's taken me everywhere I wanted to go and then some in the last 6 years. Countless trips to the mountains exploring, several trips to the beach, many trips to Uwharrie and everywhere in between. It had 60K on it in 2005 when I bought it and currently has 160K on it now that it was retired from DD status last month (with 80K of those miles coming in the last 4 years thanks to a college lifestyle). It's had a few hiccups along the way that every Jeep goes though, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Looking forward to many more years of enjoyment out of it!

Always has and still does look great Tim. It makes me miss my green one. Keep up the good work on it!

Meh, its alright! :D Like Collin, I miss my green one! She's looking good bro. Can't wait to see how it performs and I get to finally make fun of you in person in a couple weeks! :D

Love the Jeep and what you've done to it. Great colour too:)

Thanks! I've always liked yours as well. Orvis's are freakin sweet!! It's a shame they were never offered on this side of the pond.

Thanks dude! I wish you had never sold your green one. I really liked it!

You'll hear lots of treadwright contacting fenders. I refuse to trim and i'm not going to be able to get the extra 1" of lift together that I wanted before the crawl. Hell I'll be lucky to even fix the stupid bushings before then!

Throw a couple hockey pucks in between the coils and call it good! I threw 2 on each side and it cost 12 bucks for 4 hockey pucks and construction adhesive and a caulk gun!

We'll see. Depends on how much time I have. Gonna be tight between now and Harlan.

I hear ya there. Just buy pucks and we'll throw them on in the campground, I have the adhesive and caulk gun. They slide in between the coils without taking them out!
