The forums that we use and enjoy have always meant to be a family friendly medium. To that end, certain language/words are in a filter system which will not allow them to be used on the forums. Other words are not. However, as a general rule of thumb, our moderators subscribe to the "if you can't say it on network TV/terrestrial radio, it should not be used on" philosophy.
Recently the BOD ruled on updating the word filter, and ultimately decided not to include several words. Since that vote, it has been noticed that decision was interpreted by members and users that the BOD made that langauage acceptable for commonplace usage. That is not the case.
It is a virtually impossible task to include every potential cuss word and their derivitives or alternate spellings to a filter system. To that end, the BOD asks that everyone please self-police yourself in your posts to help remain family friendly...especially knowing that several members and users enjoy the forum and the sport with their children. And please keep in mind, what counts as family friendly in your family might not in other families. Please err on the side of caution.
This need not be an issue, nor a point of continual banter if everyone simply do their part to keep the forums family friendly.
