Transfer Case Front Yoke Seal Washer

I'm doing my SYE install and noticed that the seal washer on the front yoke is all shreaded. I get a new one with the AA kit, but I was just wondering if this is normal or do I need to smooth out some casting imperfections or something?

This is normal. Worry not.

It got squished in between the output shaft and the yoke with 150 ft-lbs of torque on that nut...that's pretty normal.

Thanks for the info! I heard the nut is on very tight, and it was, but very easy compared to my rusted leaf spring bolts.
