Roy Lunn, father of the XJ, dies at 92

I saw this last night on Jalopnik, it was posted by their Resident rustbucket XJ owner David Tracey late in the afternoon.

Ha! That's where I first ran across it too.

In another article it is talked about how AMC not having the funds for traditional durability testing so Roy entered two stockers in the 6,200 mile Paris- Dakar Ralley. They kept wearing out shocks but that was it.

He will be missed. May his legacy live on.

I like this pic of Roy with a 20 slot; makes my 10 slot look run of the mill.
Not to mention that everyone loves a woody.

I think this should get moved to the "In Memoriam" forum. Mr. Lunn deserves that kind of respect. IMO. RIP
