How To Replace Brass Fuse Connectors in Fuse Block

In my 88XJ, I had a broken female connector(i.e. half of the connector), in the fuse block, that holds the male spade leg of a fuse . This gave random connections to the instrument panel, My son and I wrestled with getting the female connector out of the fuse block. Then we took an unused connector from the fuse block and crimped/soldered it to the wires and re-inserted it into the fuse block. Does anyone make a special pin tool to release the female connector from the fuse block quickly? Or must you go through what we went through to get the female connector out of the fuse block? If we had to replace my fuse block that would be a real PITA.

Best regards,

I have a 5 or 6 piece Snap-on pin kit. I believe Lisle tools makes a tool for this also, should be available at your local parts store.
