Anyone ever experience this?

At first I thought it was a lifter.

Happens when I snap the throttle, and possibly under load going down the road. Under load going down the road it almost sounds like something that could be in the glove box. lol. But I'm thinking its the same noise just muted with other noises, etc.

When I put my finger on the cam sensor and the snap the throttle I feel the tick under the cam sensor.

Apparently later TJ's that were still using 4.0's had a common problem with failures during one batch of oil pump drives.

The complete assembly is available at Auto Zone as a Duralast Gold that's made in Taiwan and a Duralast not sure of its COO. Dorman and Crown also have parts for this.

I changed the drive. The old one had play in the bushings. No more tick. Drive gears looked OK, but I could make the old one tick just my rocking it back and forth.
