Sourcing an idler pulley

Where do ya go to get an idler pulley for a '96 XJ 4.0 engine along with the plate it's mounted to?

I'd have to see which one it was. There's one presses bearing pulley in the 91-93-93-94-95 4.0 XJ that has a pulley mounted to the bracket for the AC compressor. If it is that one it is Out of Stock at jeep and no longer manufactured, new Old Stock found online or a used part is the only way to go. I'm not sure what the 96 has.

what plate? The idlers just have a bolt through the middle. You can get the whole pulley from any parts store.

If your looking for the ac delete pulley autozone should have them or can order one. Same with the regular idle pulley

Rock Auto shows seven different brands of idlers for the 1996 XJ.
The bracket isn't a normal wear item and will most likely to be found in a JY, if missing.
