Hello guys,
Does anyone have a write-up on how to do a coolant flush on a 2001 Cherokee? If not is it hard to do and where is the draing plug? Also can i just drain the trans fluid out of the transmission and refill or does that require a flush too. Thanks For the Help!

Just pull both hoses off of the radiator, flush the radiator, and then just flush the block until it runs clear. Then flush the heater core. I woldn't bother with the freeze plugs.

If you can test your coolant (if you use Prestone you can use their gauge). You might have to use more straight coolant to compensate for any water left in the block.

It would really be better to remove the water pump and thermpstat housing.....might be a good time to replace all of that anyway if it's new. Then you can flush the block and less water will get stuck in there.

You can also use a chemical product and let that flow in the system for a day or two before flushing it as well.
