adding a second vacuum port to a 96+ k&n intake

so a couple weeks ago i got a killer deal on a k&n intake system for my 4.0 but to find out that it's for a 96+ 4.0 with out the evap canister hose.. what's the easiest way to add a second vacuum port like the older k&n systems? i was thinking of a barb fitting but i dont have a tap to make a thread on the intake. any suggestions?

I used the larger size air hose fittings from tractor supply. No need to tap a hole. They are pipe thread so I drilled a hole slightly larger then the smallest part on the fitting and as I screwed it in it made threads and tightened up all at the same time. The 1/2" hose Crome the evap set up on my 89 fits right onto it.
