Floor Mount Headlight Dimmer/Dipper?

Did XJs ever floor mounted headlight dimmer switches?

If so, which year(s)? Looking to add a floor switch for aux lights and I'm out of dash space.

Way plentiful at the PnP yards.
Awesome Idea, and they can be used for anything.

86 Dodge Van came with them standard, less than $15 at Murrays too.

Have you completed this mod yet?

My 89 XJ's turn signal/ dimmer stalk is so stiff, that when I go to dim the headlight's it feels like I'm going to tear it right off pulling it back. I've always liked the floor dimmer much better than the steering column mount ones (yes even with the clutch in my CJ).

I guess you'd just need to find the dimmer wires and splice into them. I already have a floor mount switch, just need to look into mounting it and hooking up the wires.
